The idea of MORT came up some time during 2001-2002 but nothing happened because of lots of things. One night 2005 Andreas finally decided that now things have to start moving, so he wrote some songs.
So a demo were recorded and passed around to get some feedback on the sound and the response were more than positive. In fact so positive so several radiostations played the demo on air. And with that in his back he wrote a complete album, hit the studio again to record everything all over again.
One morning in april 2006 the last recordings had been made and the album were sent to the factory and it was released through Nightrose Records in may.

He didnt think this was enough so he started writing new material for the new album 'Zombiefication'. He also started to search for bandmembers so MORT could go on tour and start giving live shows.
One day in early june 2008 he finally found the right people for the job. Germ, Divina, Magnus and Ville joined the band and dark, nocturnal plans were born trough some beers and liquorice-shots for the recordings of the new album.

Three songs were recorded for the new album and everything went on fine. Then the problems started, everything started to fall apart because of many reasons and all of a sudden Andreas were once again alone with this project.

Time went by, the search for new members went on for ages. Then one day Johan (ex. Godphobia) jumped on the project and things started to happen. Shortly after that Nicke became our drummer. Everything started to happen really fast and here we are today, looking for gigs all over the world and working on the new album.
